Cantley 1889’s volunteers have written more than 150 monthly articles of local historical interest for publication in The Echo of Cantley, a non-profit bilingual organization that produces Cantley's only community newspaper.

Award of Honour for Cantley's Tugboat Team

The Gatineau Valley Historical Society (GVHS) presented awards to both Mary Holmes and Margaret Phillips for their work on local history at the annual GVHS dinner and book launch on May 27 at Mont Cascades Golf Club. We are especially proud that Cantley's "Tugboat Team" was given the award of honour, "....in appreciation for your efforts to restore and preserve the E. Champagne and for transforming it into the focal point of a magnificent and creative historical community space for the Cantley community."

Cantley's restored tugboat, complete with interpretative plaques, is located in Parc Mary-Anne-Phillips, 47 chemin Summer. Visitors welcome!
