Parc Mary-Anne-Phillips (47 ch Summer, Cantley).
L’Embâcle is a sculpture of carved river logs by artist Denis Charette. Installed in 2017 beside Cantley’s restored tugboat and mine car in Parc Mary-Anne-Phillips, it also has a descriptive panel telling of its symbolism and of the Gatineau River’s history.
Ten Gatineau Valley women who shaped our history are highlighted in the new display at Fairbairn House Heritage Centre. Four of these women are from Cantley. See online exhibition.
